They are bred in the ticks on coastal, mountainous, forest country just west of Eidsvold, graze on natural grass only, and are given a dry lick when needed. Only the most formidable cows survived, meaning the constitution of the Kilkenny breeder is unheard of for stud Charolais.
The bulls are then transferred to Verbena Park at Taroom. The bulls have been grown out on scrub buffel pasture and have been supplementary fed on a silage and lucerne hay mixed for sale preparation.
